Producer Spotlight: Hotboy Scotty

Memphis is a budding place for talent nowadays, as anyone could break out as the next superstar from there. However, some become popular, but not enough to become mainstream and become unnoticed for their work. One of them is Hotboy Scotty.

Scotty has been posting beats to his YouTube channel since 2016, and blew up in 2017 with his Blac Youngsta and BlocBoy JB type beats, most notably "Glocks", which evolved into a series with 18 installments currently. And his roster of artists he has produced for is impressive: Polo G, Goon Twinn, DC the Don, and more. Scotty has produced the second through fifth installments of Goon Twinn's popular "Turn Up" song series, with a combined view count of 3 million.

Lately, Scotty hasn't been raking in the views he used to, but his production has become more crisp and has improved. He's also been helping artists grow their fanbase. Scotty has the type of work ethic that provides him to appeal to a larger community. It's pretty clear what the futute holds for him, and that's more success in the rap game.
