I was kind of interested in this film, because it seemed like another goofy film with a government official or someone else. I had seen Paul Blart: Mall Cop before, and I really enjoyed that film, so I thought I might enjoy this film, too. And boy, did I enjoy this film.

First off, this film made me laugh out loud the entire time. I don't know what it is about slapstick and bumbling fools making mistakes all the time, but it is FUNNY. I'm always trying to look for films like these, and this is the perfect example of what I want to watch. A good story is nice and all, but sometimes a deep story isn't needed for a film like this. You just need comedy, which it had.
The performances of Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean, anyone?) and Ben Miller as Johnny English and Bough are also a highlight of the film. They both execute their lines really well, and they fit right into the roles of less-than-bright agents, although Bough is a tad bit smarter. John Malkovich as evil mastermind Pascal Sauvage was also fun to watch.
Lastly, the film still delivered on action. Even though it technically is a comedy, it still felt like a normal spy film. I also like those type of movies, so I was thoroughly delighted throughout the film.
Johnny English may not have a great story or a message to give out to viewers, but it delivers on the laughs, executed by great performers who keep the film alive.
RATING: 8.5/10
