This is honestly one of the most over-hated comedies from Happy Madison. I mean, what is there to not like about it? Paul Blart: Mall Cop is full of heart and laugh-out-loud hilarious. I'll dive into the reasons why in this review.

For starters, Kevin James gives off energetic vibes as Paul Blart, the goofy titular character who's unsuccessful in love but takes his mall cop job with pride. He's in love with a woman who seems to show something for him, but that's not the point of the film. The point is to give Kevin James space to show off his comedic chops, which he does with flair. The humor is spot-on, and the slapstick is undeniably funny.
Although the story is not the greatest, it's still a good concept nonetheless. When supposed mall workers take over the mall, this one overweight and clumsy mall cop tries to be a hero for once. And it works for the most part. It's extremely entertaining to watch the whole thing unfold, and the comedy just makes it even better. The supporting performances are also pretty good, and although it does have a predictable plot twist, the second twist at the end is a bit more surprising.
Paul Blart: Mall Cop may not be the greatest comedy film ever produced, but with a dazzling lead performance from funnyman Kevin James and nonstop humor, it's still extremely watchable.
