Review: "Wonder Woman"

Yes, I know that the new Wonder Woman sequel is already out, and I want to watch it. But I also wanted to watch the first one to get a better understanding before I dive into the other film. So I decided to watch this. And here's my review of a film that's a bit tired but gets its act together during the ending.

First off, these special effects are the bomb! I love all the fight scenes and character designs. I mean, these are just great! I always love some good fight scenes in a film, and this delivered above my expectations.

We also get great lead performances from Gal Gadot and Chris Pine as Wonder Woman or Diana, and Steve Trevor, a British spy, and Danny Huston and David Thewlis as a German general, and Ares, God of War.

The story is also not bad, but the film can feel predictable and tired at times, like where Diana's sword breaks when she tries to stab Ares. That one was predictable from the beginning. The film also feels a bit cliched in other superhero stories, and the plot twist is not much of a twist but more of something that audiences will see coming from a mile.

All in all, although the film struggles to lift its feet in some parts, it takes off running with flying colors and proves to be a film that people will not forget for a while.

RATING: 7/10
